Rotterdam, Leers, 1711. In-4: 14f. 276pp. illustrated with a portrait of the author. Corner stain at head of last few leaves. Contemporary brown calf, spine ribbed and decorated, red title-piece, small bump to foot of headband, gilt roulette on edges, minor defects, red edges. First edition of the offprint of De Thou's memoirs at the head of the Histoire universelle. This work is unusual in that it contains an account of the first ascent of the Pic du Midi (pages 60-61).
