French school circa 1800, round gold-spotted tortoiseshell box decorated with festoons, the lid adorned with a gouache miniature depicting the portrait of a young girl in a white dress and blue shawl, it conceals a round plate adorned with hair and metal elements forming a flowery frame and the words "Donné par l'amitié", diameter 7.3 cm. Damage to the scale and elements on the inner plate, miniature detached.
