La SYLPHIDE [de VILLEMESSANT] Set of 9 volumes of the literary journal La Sylphide, from no. 1 (August 4, 1833) to no. 911 (eleventh year). With Revue Parisienne (Sylphide). Littérature, Beaux-arts, Modes (IVème série - Tome VIII et Tome IX). 8 volumes in-4. Collection of issues for the first 7 volumes, independent volumes for the last two. Some hors texte plates on strong paper, mostly fashion and in color in the last two volumes. ½ black basane, rocaille irons on smooth spines for the first 6 volumes, rubbing and minor wear; ½ filleted chagrin with corners, slightly larger format, rocaille irons on smooth spines, central comtale crown on upper board for the last two volumes.
