Manuscript of Joachim Potgiesser's "Commentariorum juris Germanici de statu servorum lemgoviae ex officina meieriana" (Lemgoviae (Lemgo), Meier, 1726) [Commentary on Germanic law on the conditions of serfs] (by Joachim Potgiesser) translated into French (between 1848 and 1866) by Octave A4514, licencié en droit.
7 volumes large in-8, fine black ink writing, clearly legible.
½ contemporary black calf, gilt rocaille irons on smooth spines. Good condition.
A unique copy of the Latin translation of this work on the law and condition of serfs in Germany.
It appears from the few researches carried out that this work was never published in French.
