Lyon [BROSSETTE (Claude)] Éloge historique ou histoire abrégée de la ville de Lyon ancienne et moderne. Lyon, Girin, 1711 In-4; illustrated with a map of Lyon and 2 plates (all folding), an out-of-text plate and 127 pages of coats of arms of the aldermen from 1596 to 1726 (with explanatory cards at the back). Minor spotting, light banding to outer margin on a few leaves. Contemporary fawn basane, spine ribbed and decorated, red title page, headpieces torn off, leather missing from last box at foot, rubbed, corners dull. Claude Brossette was an avocat général at the Lyon courts and administrator of the Hôtel-Dieu hospital.
