Contemporary fawn calf, spine ribbed, gilt title rubbed, jaws split, head cap missing, foot cap torn off, small leather chips on boards and edges, rubbing, corners dull, binding quite solid.
Cornelius Lapide was a Belgian Jesuit, renowned theologian and biblical scholar, committed to putting into practice the demands of the Council of Trent.
