FÉLIBIEN (Michel) History of the Royal Abbey of Saint Denys in France. Paris, Léonard, 1706. In folio: 15f., 592pp, CCXXIII (pièces justificatives), 11f. (tables); illustrated with a frontispiece after Boulogne le jeune engraved by J.-B. de Poilly, and 12 plates out of text (10 of which are double-page plates) showing, among other things, the plans, tombs and treasures of St Denys. Cut-out at the head of the title page. Contemporary brown calf, spine ribbed and ornamented, small leather tears, headpieces stretched and missing, red title page, rubbed in use, gilt roulette on edges, corners dulled, red edges. First edition of this remarkable work on the royal abbey of Saint-A4060. The second part contains over 230 charters, bulls and other documents (Brunet II, 1203). Provenance: Printed bookplate Octave A4514 in La Réole.
