Contemporary marbled fawn basane, spine ribbed and ornamented, headbands foxed, red title page, cold fillet framing the boards, leather missing, gilt roulette on the edges, wear and tear, red edges.
Best known for his various mathematical writings, including one on trigonometric and logarithmic tables, Ozanam served as an ensign in his father's regiment before becoming major of the Swiss regiment in 1702. Here he presents his treatise on fortifications.
