Later pastiche fawn basane, ornate ribbed spine, double gilt fillet framing the boards, red edges.
Partly first edition of Plutarch's works, with the French translation by Jacques Amyot, French humanist and prelate (this famous translation of Plutarch's Lives is his most important work).
