In-12: 12pp, 166pp, 5f, 33pp (Le secret d'être toujours belle). ½ green 19th-century chagrin, ornate spine, small irons between caissons. - CORNARO (Louis): Conseils pour vivre long-tems. Paris, Belin, 1783. Small in-12. Contemporary marbled fawn basane, ornate smooth spine, brown title-piece, cold fillet framing the boards, gilt fillet on the edges, red edges, gilt head. Provenances: Copies from the library of Alexis Jean Armand Mieulet de Lombrail (1828-1904), a native of Tarn-et-Garonne, a young aristocrat whose family came from the Garonne nobility. He attended a Catholic preparatory school in Versailles and embraced positivist ideas. He was a pupil of Auguste Comte.
