Alix AYMÉ (1894-1989) Portrait of François, 1945 Charcoal and estompe drawing, signed and dated July 45 lower right. 21.5 x 17.3 cm. (Traces of folds) François Aymé is the artist's second son. This portrait was painted in Hanoi. It is part of a series made in July/August 1945, when Alix Aymé was under house arrest by the Japanese army. A certificate of authenticity issued by the Association des Amis d'Alix Aymé will be given to the buyer.
