"L'Almanach des adresses de tous les commerçants de Paris pour l'année 1820describes the workshop: "Marc Jacquart, joailler - bijoutier, manufacture d'orfèvrerie en tous genres. This establishment has long been known for its choice of models, elegance, purity of form and fine craftsmanship, and offers the trade the advantage of having all kinds of orders made in the shortest possible time". His workshop, first located at 1 rue du Petit-Pont, then at 123 rue Saint-Honoré in the Hôtel d'Aligre from 1806, was modest in size: twelve workers, compared with sixty in the Auguste and Biennais houses in 1807. As a result, his work is less well known, but a few museums have preserved some very important pieces, such as a tea service at the Metropolitan in New York, or a tea fountain in the collections of the Queen of England."
