Paris, Giraud, Nîmes, les Libraires, 1854. In-8: 2f. 200pp. including VI, 1f. 18 lithographed (?) plates and a folding map, all on yellow tinted boards. Occasional spotting, soiling on a few leaves in fine. ½ marbled plum basane, gilt title and fillets on smooth spine. Rare. First edition complete with all plates. The double-page map counts as 2 plates, hence the indication "20 drawings". The work was reissued in 1863 under the title "La Marnière et sous le titre: Histoire des Comtes de Foix et du Val d'Andorre" (Paris, Cantel). Typography, layout and illustrations are identical. "Very good tourist guide". The book ends with an "Itinéraire d'un Voyage Pédestre à Petite Journée dans la Vallée d'Andorre". One of the first tourist descriptions of Andorra.
