Despite a late appearance for the discovery of the Pyrenees, "The team that writes this Bulletin is second to none. The new generation is seeing quickly and well, and above all they are seeing new things: the third discovery of the Pyrenees has begun. The Bulletin was so successful that it became the organ of the Pyrenean societies throughout the chain. From then on, it became the essential and standard document that it still is today, with the names of some of its contributors MEILLON, SAINT-SAUD, CADIER, FONTAN de NÉGRIN, BELLOC, LABROUCHE, BRIET, d'USSELL HEID LE BONDIDIER, GOURDON SCHRADER and above all Henri BERALDI, whose research made the Bulletin a publication of extraordinary and exceptional interest. After the war, we find the names of BERALDI and LE BONDIDIER. Henri BRULLE comes out of his silenceThe Bulletin becomes the witness of what can be called the fourth discovery of the Pyrenees: Acrobatic Pyreneanism, which the previous period had already begun with the great BRULLE, d'USSELL and FONTAN de NÉGRIN. The birth certificate of the Groupe des Jeunes can be found in the Bulletin Pyrénéen, where retrospective Pyreneanism plays a major role (with) BERALDI. Abbé GAURIER describes his Études Glaciologiques, A. MEILLON his erudite runs around the Vignemale etc." The Revue began with simple reports of excursions, like other newsletters, then expanded and appeared in serial form to become genuine reference works. In 1950, the Revue was renamed Pyrénées. Raymond RITTER became editor-in-chief. From the outset, it benefited from the best writers of the day: BOISSON, CADART, BRUGNOT, d'ESPOUY, FOURCASSIÉ, LEDORMEUR, MASSIE, MAURY, LAMICQ, and has continued unabated to this day (Labarère 313).
