CHESNELONG (Charles under the pseudonym of Jean d'OZENX) - Lot 85
CHESNELONG (Charles under the pseudonym of Jean d'OZENX) Pyrenees. From the Basque Country to Mont Perdu. Preface by Comte de SAINT-SAUD. Toulouse, Privat ; Paris, Didier, 1933. In-12: 124pp, 1f. Signed letter from the author to M. Cadart. Copy with full margins, uncut. Paperback, mint condition. A good copy. Good work, very neat printing and very pleasant reading, where "historical" figures from the Pyrenees (Russell, Schrader, Ramond, Beraldi) argue the Pyreneanist's stories. Not in Perret. This Orthézien politician, deputy for the Basses-Pyrénées and senator, had a chaotic career: republican, Bonapartist then, with the Count of Chambord, leader of the royalist party (Labarère 1121)(Labarère H. Russell 325).
