Third edition, revised, corrected and enlarged. Paris, Méquignon aîné ; Lyon, Périsse frères, 1821. In-8: 2f., VI, 420pp. ½ period fawn shagreened basane, smooth spine, fawn title-piece, gilt lyres, gilt roulette on edges, yellowed edges, corners slightly dulled. The original is dated 1821 on the title and 1820 on the cover and published by Henri NICOLLE, in 262pp. The Pyrenean section of our edition begins in Béarn and occupies pp. 235 to 277. Royalist" journey through the provinces of Guyenne, Gascogne and Languedoc. GENOUDE (1792-1849) is best known for his bible and political articles. When signing his letters of nobility, Louis XVIII quipped: "We're going to flank him with 'de' in front and behind, so that no one will ever think of contesting the nobility of this valiant knight of the throne and the altar".
