2 parts in one oblong in-4 volume : title, panorama and 8 lithographed plates on tinted background (for the Pau part) - title and 19 plates. The single oval plates are captioned on a tinted background, protected by mute serpents. All in vivid color.
Blue percaline boards, gilt rocaille title on upper board, gilt edges. Good condition.
Some copies have a facing explanatory leaflet in place of the muted serpents. Album of various compositions.
Like all Gorse albums, this one varies in composition (8 to 16 plates for the Pau album). Other albums in this vein include Cauterets et ses environs (here complete and grouped with the Pau album). (Lalabère 667)(M. Gaston 249).
