LABARÈRE (Jacques) - Lot 205
LABARÈRE (Jacques) Collection containing several publications by the Professor: - Ramond et la Ramondie des Pyrénées. Pau, Marrimpouey, 1971 (Edition of 200 copies). Offprint from "Pyrénées" n° 86 June 1971. - Le Bouquetin des Pyrénées - Extract from "Pyrénées" magazine no. 87 Sept. 1971 - Pau, imp. Marrimpouey, 1971. Offprint from "Pyrénées" magazine under special cover. Not reported by Kaps. Small scientific and historical study. Hunting is inevitably mentioned, since their Pyrenean "history" ended under English bullets. - An endangered species: The Pyrenean Ibex - Extract from the magazine "Pyrénées" n°142 -1985. - In the Pyrenean sky: Griffon Vultures. Extract from "Pyrénées" n°88 oct.-dec. 1971. Pau, Marrimpouey, 1971. Offprint with special cover. - In the High Forests of the Pyrenees. The capercaillie. Pau, Marrimpouey Jeune, 1978 (200 copies in a separate issue of the Revue "Pyrénées"). - Bibliography survey. The twenty rarest Pyrenean books. From Revue "Pyrénées" no. 113, January - March 1978 (130 copies printed). This article, published here as an offprint, is far from trivial. The identification of the 20 rarest, but at the same time most important, books has raised the standard of Pyrenean bibliophily by setting a goal, a grail towards which we strive but never reach. Admittedly, 20 years on, we (or at least the author) could revise the classification, refine the number of known copies, even modify a few entries, but this booklet has created a new momentum and marks the entry of a very closed club: that of the "over 10". In-8. Full of photographs, correspondence and bills. ½ burgundy morocco with corners, gilt title on slightly lightened spine, gilt head. Provenance: Professor Labarère's copy.
