LEBLANT (Robert) Nobiliaire de Béarn Extract from the "Revue Historique & Archéologique du Béarn et du Pays Basque" Pau, Lescher-Moutoué, 1940 (followed by) Nobiliaire de Béarn. Tome II. Dax, Dumolia, 1955. 2 volumes in-8: 116pp. and 104pp. ½ brown chagrin, gilt title throughout on lightened smooth spine. Rare complete 2 volumes. In fact, there is no indication in the first volume that there will be a sequel, probably decided after publication. Robert LE BLANT (1898-1972) began his career as a local historian with "Le tribut des Trois Vaches payé par la vallée de Barétous à la vallée de Roncal. Doctoral thesis presented and defended on Saturday June 13, 1925". He devoted most of his writing to Béarn, and in particular to the expatriate Béarnais in the colonies.
