In folio oblong: 2 titles (lithographed and illustrated, one enhanced in color, the second in black) and 34 plates in black distributed as follows (28 single plates and 6 double or triple plates): 15 plates for Luchon and its surroundings (including 4 fold-outs) - in the Les Pyrénées series: 15 plates, including 9 for the Hautes Pyrénées and Pyrénées regions (Bigorre, Argelès, Saint Sauveur, Barèges, Argelès, Gavarnie, Cauterets, Lac de Gaube, Pau, Eaux-Bonnes and a large panorama of the Central Pyrenees). No foxing, plates protected by serpents, Publisher's ½ red contemporary chagrin boards, smooth spine with an accident in the central part, title in a fine gilt frame on first board, wear and tear. The presence of the Pont Napoléon vignette places this publication fairly precisely around 1860-61. Composition varies, as it always does. There is no album type for this collection.
