Contemporary green calf signed BELZ-NIEDRÉE, slightly lightened ribbed spine, gilt title and gilt fillets, rubbed in use, triple gilt fillet framing the boards, double gilt fillet on the edges, inner gilt lace, gilt edges. A fine copy. Excellent work by the head of the Prefecture's office. Contains an important "revue généalogique et biographique" (genealogical and biographical review), 1/3 of the work is devoted to commune statistics. This work, whose technical interest for the prefecture, and today's historian, is obvious, follows and replaces the first "Statistique du département des Basses-Pyrénées" published by General Serviez in year X (1802) (Soulice 10)(Barbe 726).
