When you think of the history of the Pyrenees, you think of RAMOND, and when you think of RAMOND, you think of Mont-Perdu. So this "Voyage au Sommet du Mont Perdu", a prestigious book if ever there was one, in remarkable condition and with an excellent provenance, is "The" book. Journal des Mines n° 83, also published as an offprint (one of the XX rarest Pyrenean books). In 1804, RAMOND published an abridged version of his text in pp. 74-84 of Volume III of the Annales du Muséum d'Histoire Naturelle. In another issue of the Journal des Mines, no. 37, Vendémiaire, An VI, RAMOND published a letter dated "5th jour complémentaire, An 5" addressed to Haüy "sur deux voyages au Mont-Perdu, sommet le plus élevé des Monts Pyrénées" (pp. 35-38). The following pages (39 to 66) are occupied by "Voyage au Mont-Perdu, et observations sur la Nature des crêtes les plus élevées des Pyrénées" by Philippe PICOT de LAPEYROUSE (Labarère 1231).
Also by the same author: Naturel et Légitime. Se trouve chez tous les Marchands de Nouveautés, An XII (1804).
Booklet in-8: 1f., 40pp.
