Cartography WALLON (Paul Édouard) Central Pyrenees. General circular panorama taken from the summit of Pic Ardiden (near Cauterets). Toulouse, Privat (ca. 1875). Sheet (155x1175 mm), chromolithographed, accordion-folded to in-12 format. Red percaline boards, gilt title on front cover. A fine copy. These panoramas were printed on 1 sheet in 3 rows, then cut, mounted and accordion-folded. Here is a list of these superb and rare panoramas: Ardiden - Balaïtous - Capvern - Monné - Pène Nère - Pic du Midi - Piméné - Som de Nère - Sauvegarde - Profil panoramique des Pyrénées pris de Montauban (this last one in 3 pieces is very rare). A final Panorama du Cabaliros is placed at the end of a book entitled "Ascension au Cabaliros". There are 3 different types of cardboard and 3 different formats for these panoramas, with some variations.
