Scattered foxing. ½ brown chagrin, gilt title on spine, publisher's blue cover preserved. A rare and well-documented work. Casimir d'Angosse, born in Paris in 1779, pointed out in this work that there was a written account of the "Voyage au Pic du Midi de Pau, exécuté le 14 thermidor de l'an X" by his brother the Marquis Armand d'Angosse, a rare account if ever there was one. Casimir was an auditor at the Conseil d'État. Sub-prefect of Pau in 1811, he was deputy of the Basses-Pyrénées in 1827 and Peer of France ten years later.
