Contemporary red morocco, smooth spine decorated with rocaille irons, gothic-style cold decoration and sextuple gilt fillet, fleurons in the spandrels, gilt fillet on the edges with roulette on the corners, fine inner gilt lace, gilt edges. A fine copy. First edition of one of the first guides to mushrooms. Written by two doctors from Toulouse. Particularly concerned with the mushrooms of today's Midi-Pyrénées and the Pyrenean foothills. This treatise covers the description of families, medical mycetology and public hygiene.
