A similar example, also in patinated bronze and gilded bronze, is listed in a London sale, Sotheby's, June 28, 2023, lot 458. Other examples are made entirely in gilded bronze, and a variant also exists in Nast porcelain (kept at the Mobilier National in Paris and illustrated in M-F. Dupuy-Baylet, Pendules du Mobilier National 1800-1870, Dijon, 2006, p. 49).
